Controller
FlexRay communication controllers usually support communication bit rates at 10 Mbps on two channels over an electrical physical layer. A transceiver component connects the controller to the physical layer which supports bus topologies, star topologies, cascaded star topologies and bus stubs connected to star couplers. Thus, the engineer can choose from a multitude of possibilities that open up utmost scalability and flexibility for electronic architectures in automotive applications.
Since FlexRay is a growing market, many semiconductor companies offer FlexRay controllers. Each one has its own specific properties in terms of number of available buffers, duration and number of slots, etc.
EB supports a multitude of FlexRay controllers. If you are looking for a specific target platform not on the list below, please contact us.
